One of the best equipped hotel rooms that we have stayed in........and we've stayed in quite a few. On the waterfront overlooking the pool we enjoyed our outlook. Secure parking included was a good feature
The housekeeping staff did not get to our room one day until 4:30pm...a little late we thought.
Unit was comfortable. Nice to have a kitchen. Nice bed linens. Very comfortable bed.
Unit could have been cleaner. Kitchen and bathroom were clean, but there was dust in the corners, etc. Access to the room via the inside of the hotel was very secure, but we had a sliding patio door with a flimsy lock. From the street, anyone could easily access that door. Would be great to be able to get into the unit with the key card from the patio.
Great suite, clean and new!
Close to everything we wanted to see (bottleneck drive).
Excellent suite overlooking lake with access to waterfront walking trail that takes you past marina, tennis club and beaches
Summerland was expensive, even when compared to Banff and Revelstoke
The room that my husband and I stayed in at the Summerland Waterfront Resort was so comfortable! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! After a day of wine tasting, and looking at the beautiful scenery of the Okanagan Valley, coming back to this hotel just made our weekend getaway even better! The room had wine glasses, and an opener and a full kitchen with cooking utensils. Loved it!
The front desk staff could have been a little more helpful with recommending places to eat.
The inviting layout of the pool and hot tub, how they constructed the hotel around a small nature reserve, the relaxing/romantic boardwalk around the reserve, absolutely excellent breakfast cafe.
The suite was too small for the price and I could not figure out if it was an old hotel that had been very well refurbished or a new hotel with an old design. Lots of nooks and cranny's that did not fit a modern design.
We liked the fact that we could overlook the lake from our room and that the warm pool was easy to access from our balcony
Location on the lake among the wineries is fantastic. Staff was great. Free laundry a bonus, especially for families. Pool and hot tub rightr beside the beach also a plus. Would definitely stay there again.
I felt the room was not very clean when we arrived and the carpet definitely needed replacing.
Summerland is situated in a great spot for morning runs. Right on the lake, the pool was glorious and warm. Not too busy. Had an exercise facility and spa if you wanted to use those services. Restaurant close by which served up superb breakfasts. BBQ facility vailable but room did have a great little kitchen. Bed comfy, more than enough towels. Would definately return for another trip..
The cafe in the resort did not have a good selection for breakfast if you wanted something fast. Would have been nice to have a starbucks close by.
I liked the quiet location, the view and the and that our room had close proximity to the pool. Also that the hotel was lovely and clean and non-smoking. I appreciated the fitness room and the location to the beach watersports and the walking routes.
Could have had a bit better air conditioning and found some things in the lovely looking room to be of poor quality. I had to fix the bottom drawer in the cupboard and the stove drawer and ony one plug worked in the kitchen and the toaster was tempermental.
The only negative about our experience at the resort was at check in. We had a very unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist who unfortunately was the first person we dealt with at the Resort. We noticed that the other staff did not seem to be so unfriendly.
Loved the location and the room - bedroom was very comfortable and there were a lot of nice features like the sensor lighting in the bathroom.
Check-in went easy, but staff did not give good directions to the room or offer to help with bags. I couldn't find the elevator and carried our bags up two flights of stairs only to get lost and have to retrace my steps. Assistance should have been offered.
The setting is quite beautiful and the rooms are very nicely designed with most of the amenities one would need- kitchenette, fireplace, great views of lake and mountains, and terrific bathroom (with the minor issue noted below). A quiet spot yet not remote.
As others have mentioned, there is an odditity in the otherwise very nice bathrooms in that the counter makes it impossible to raise the seat completely. However the problem is minor. The main problem we had was that my daughter and I brought her little dog. While the hotel will allow pets, we were informed he could not be left alone in the room. As a result, this impacted our activities quiter significantly. We would return to the hotel in the future, but not with our dog.
The rooms were nice and clean and new. The onsite boat rental came in handy and we had an excellent outing on the lake on a hot morning.
The layout of the floors was not convenient as we had to go all the way around the outside to the other side to get to our room. The staff who checked us in, although was nice and polite, was not very knowledgeable about the area and amenitites.
